The national anthem of Canada is "Oh Canada"
This tune has a long history and the words have changed several times.
When it was declared as the National Anthem, in 1967, some changes
were made to the words.
It is a beautiful anthem but it has a horrible problem.
The problem is that "God" was introduced to the song in 1967.
Canada has a secular government... i.e. "God" is not part of government.
So how did "God" end up in the National Anthem?
Most likely it is because there are a majority of "Christians" in government
and they didn't consider how rude it would be to put "God" into the National Anthem.
"God" is offensive to atheists and to Buddhists (who don't have a "God").
Nothing was done to include women either (changing "all thy sons" to something more inclusive of women).
What is means, in essence, is that "Oh Canada" is unconstitutional.
Tell your MP you are offended by the inclusion of a superstitious being
called "God" being included in the National Anthem of Canada.
Also let it be known that you are offended by prayers at public events
and offended by prayers in houses of government.
Superstitious beliefs by ignorant peoples must not be allowed in
anything to do with government. And change "sons" to "youth".
